Olga Shalamova - Works on fabric emerged very naturally from my collaboration with embroiderers, as I helped them create designs for their projects and choose fabrics and threads. Traditional gold embroidery is an extremely time-consuming and labour-intensive process. I wanted to find a way to focus more directly on the artistic image without being bound by the demands of such a complex embroidery technique. I therefore use simpler materials, allowing me to concentrate fully on the artistic aspects of the image. See more
